There are many items to collect in Dungeon Siege, and a vast amount are enchanted with potentially very powerful magic. The type of magic is identified through the color of the letters on the item's label. The following is an under-construction, comprehensive list of all the possible enhancements. Blue lettering (basic enchantment)Edit

Purple lettering (spell-enchanted items/spell book buffs)Edit

On equipment other than spell books, purple letters/backround means that the item has an existing spell on it. On items, the enchantment scales with some kind of level on the player. On spellbooks, purple means either a lower mana cost for a category of spells, or an increase in potency for the same category.

These items incur a penalty as well as a bonus. Handle with caution.
