Anjali Unique Staff

Unique Items are the highest quality items in Dungeon Siege III, they are orange or blue and are much rarer than other items. Orange items correspond to legendary items. Legendary items are unique items that are not randomly generated. Usually they have a specific requirements for being obtained and always have the same statistics and are always located in the same place.

There's a number of one-off items, both rare and unique, that are either exclusive for one of four playable characters, or accessories that can be used by any character. These items can be either bought off from mechants, recieved as a quest reward or found as rare drops from specific enemies or bosses. It is worth noting that some items obtained from killing certain enemies or as rewards from NPCs depend on the character chosen by the player.

All of them have certain effects which are described in the help topics. Basically they just affect combat damage in various ways.

  • Retribution: Sometimes damages the attacker when you get hit
  • Bloodletting: Sometimes causes bleeding when you hit enemies
  • Doom: Increases critical strike damage
  • Warding: Provides a chance to stun enemies that hit you.

Notes[]

  • The numerical values of the characteristics of some items depend on the level of the character who found them and may differ if you get them at different stages of the game.
  • In different versions (?) of the game, there may be some differences when obtaining items: in particular, unique spears for Anjali - Heaven's Judgment (empowered) and Vorpal Glaive - can be obtained differently. Both spears can be obtained at the Chancel of Azunai under different conditions: improved Heaven's Judgment drops from Saraya if you previosly kill Rajani, the Glaive - from Rajani, if you first leave her alive, and then refuse to spare the archons in the castle garden. In some versions, they frop vice versa: Glaive - Saraya, Judgment - from Rajani.
  • Also, there may be a difference in rewards from Bartholomew for the "Prototype" quest for Katarina. In some versions, instead of gloves, a shotgun "Frostforged Scattergun" (?) is issued.
  • Converting a legendary orange item at the Items menu screen will guarantee you an essence - or a few, if the stats in question are multiple.
