Gargoyle

General[]

Gargoyles are based on the carved stone grotesque called Gargoyles.

They're winged humanoids that are made out of stone. Their stony skin allows them to camouflage inside the tombs and caves, disguising as stone figures. Gargoyles have large, leathery wings that allows them to fly, since their bodies are small, lean and light. Their bodies resembles of a human since they have arms and legs, except their head are more bat-like, having short pointy ears and pointed face. Their unique feature is that they have green eyes that are made up of flickering fire, which ranges from green to red.

Gargoyle have an ability to emit powerful beams of intense heat from their eyes. Their eyes release two beams of lasers that burns into their foes, possibly to keep distance since they have frail bodies.

Jade Gargoyles also have another ability; they can generate and hurl green arrows at their foes, piercing them.

Gargoyle[]

This is the first kind of Gargoyle you will encounter. He is relatively weak and wont be a problem, although they can come in large groups in which then they will be a bit of a problem. They have green eyes, and they are encountered at.

Jade Gargoyle[]

This is the second kind of Gargoyle you will encounter, they look the same as the normal Gargoyle, and they have the same HP (8) but they are more of a problem because they are long ranged attackers; they shoot green arrows from their hands.

Ruby Gargoyle[]

This is the boss of the Crypt of the sacred Blood, it is giant Gargoyle with big red eyes, he is much darker then the normal Gargoyle, but it is probably because he is much older then the others. He shoots red lasers from his eyes which are pretty deadly. He is pretty hard to defeat and sometimes the player may find himself running back to the hall that leads to him to regain health.

He has 45 HP which is most from all the gargoyles in the Crypt.

Bronze Gargoyle[]

Highest level of the gargoyles. These are found in the Eastern Swamp (Ehb) and around Lang (Utraean Peninsula). They fire green lasers from their eyes, combining features from both the Jade and Ruby gargoyles. Being much higher level than the others, they are stronger. Their numbers and attack range can pose a problem for retreating adventurers, so deal with them first.

Trivia[]

Some suspect the Darklings to be part of this family aswell, but they're officially not as stated in the dungeon siege website.
The gargoyles found in the Crypt of the Sacred Blood were likely placed to keep grave robbers from looting the crypt.
