Zed is a partymember in Ehb, the singleplayer world in Dungeon Siege.

Nature Mage

Zed is a sorcerer-for-hire found on the first floor of Etan's Roost Inn in Stonebridge, and can be a potentially valuable Nature support caster for the team. If hiring him, make sure to get him an offensive spell to train with before leaving town.

Biography

During the Seck Resurgence, Zed arrived in Stonebridge just in time to miss the Krug attack. When Farmgirl passed through the town soon after, headed into the Krug-infested lands between Stonebridge and Glacern, the disgruntled Zed offered his services for a meager fee that he claimed was a bargain compared to what he usually charged. He joined the farmer's party in their quest, hoping to find some excitement along the way.

Having become a famous archmage later in life, Zed devised a spell that would protect the Heroes' Crypt near Raven's Rill after the deaths of Lady Montbarron's remaining companions. The curse would compel those who tried to despoil the tomb to instead defend the riches interred within, even in death, as happened to the Half-Giant known as Drakomir. An exception written into the spell kept it from affecting members of the 10th Legion.
